Wizard Money

From UnknowableWiki

Wizard Money is, as the name suggests, the money used by witches and wizards. It is fair to assume that it is used in the whole Wizarding World, and not just England.

It is also possible to affirm most of the wizard folk keep their money at Gringotts, the only wizard bank known in canon. It is also where they trade it for Muggle currency, though the exchange rate is unknown.

There are three types of coins:

  • Knuts are the smallest coins, made of bronze.
  • Sickles are made of silver and worth 29 Knuts.
  • Galleons are made of gold and worth 17 Sickles, or 493 Knuts (PS5).
