UnknowableWiki:When to Create a New Article

  • If you are unsure of whether to link to a page that does not yet exist, it probably safer to make the link, provided that you check that no other pages with the same topic have been created before–if so, link to them instead.
  • Remember to follow the page title directives when making the link. Everyone should immediately understand what should be on the page you're requesting to create.
  • It's always better to write something in the new page, even if it's only a tiny summary of what will be added someday. If that's the case, remember to tag it as a short article ({{short}}); if not, add {{empty}}.

Congratulations! You've reached the end of this short tutorial. In order to reread any of the previous articles, refer back to Editing Help. You will also find there links to templates such as the default General Page Template.
