Hee. *is amused* --Chris 09:32, 1 January 2009 (PST)

I didn't like the order of things in Cat:Timeline, and I thought maybe we should sort things with #, ! and *, like we do in the character categories, but er... I'm not sure of what the best order is. Maybe grouping holidays too, but where would Middle Ages go? Um. Ideas? --Chris 20:24, 31 January 2009 (PST)

  • Re: Middle Ages, I think we should rename the page as "Early Middle Ages" (a period which, according to Wikipedia, goes from the fall of the Roman Empire to the 11th century), and then group centuries after it; "Middle Ages" only seems to deal with events pre-1000. In slightly clearer (and more diagrammed form): Ancient Civilizations --> Early Middle Ages (currently "Middle Ages") --> 11th century etc. --Eos 20:50, 31 January 2009 (PST)

K, what should I do with things like the birth/death of King Henry VI? Because while he's a real person, he's also got an existence in the wizarding world canon...Should I list them as "Real World" events? --Eos 20:50, 31 January 2009 (PST)

K, have you been following the discussion? What do you think? It's definitely a fair point not to call Harmonians delusional—we all remember what happened when Emerson said that *grins*—but Sara mostly deleted Harpsiccord's edits, and she's understandably not pleased. Care to weight in? Mediating this requires more subtlety than I possess. *laughs* --Chris 17:37, 20 February 2009 (PST)

Well! I must say, I'm completely surprised and delighted. I had you guys wrong (the "delusional" talk can throw a guy off a lot). Don't worry, all my "mean" editing days are over. All I'll do now is edit in the areas I know best (slash and Femmeslash) and defend Lavender on the side. But just for clarification, what ARE we allowed to say on the slash pages? Because I want to give insight to areas that get flattened to nothing in Wikis, but I don't know what we can and can't say. And I just can't bear to leave that Ron/Draco page as "Well it's all subjective and nobody cares" when there's such a rich characterization.

I'm listening. I need to add to it; doesn't seem as though anyone else will. --- [Harp]

Really stupid question. I was wondering... *laughs* I don't know if you've watched Merlin yet, but what breed do you reckon the dragon is? --Chris 21:47, 22 March 2009 (PDT)

Why is the data useless after all? --Chris 18:01, 16 April 2009 (PDT)

Ohh. Wow. I see. Interesting! *has a whole new level of respect for you statisticky people* I suppose you could nitpick to her, if you felt like it—but maybe that wouldn't be too nice? "just a master's thesis" *laughs* --Chris 09:01, 17 April 2009 (PDT)

Hm. *nods* Got it. --Chris 19:35, 17 April 2009 (PDT)

Okay; we'll talk when you're on later. I'll be gone from 12:30 to 2PM my time, but I'll be on for the rest of the day. --Chris 07:08, 26 May 2009 (PDT)

I completely blanked on whether the judges-per-category ratio should be as equal as possible (i.e. roughly judges/categories) or related to the number of fics in the category. I'm hoping it's the former, because that's how I'm assigning them—Jesus, we really are having a hard time meeting online. --Chris 18:02, 30 May 2009 (PDT)

Yay! *grins* All right, then. --Chris 00:56, 2 June 2009 (PDT)

The dragons in question are supposed to be mentioned here, but I can't see them—maybe I'm blind, or just sleep-deprived. --Chris 03:32, 23 June 2009 (PDT)

Just saw this, so... If you're interested. --Chris 21:49, 10 July 2009 (PDT)

Since we're doing talk pages again *grins* Have you seen this? --Chris 04:47, 18 July 2009 (PDT)

How much—if anything—do you reckon we should presume re: merging Mending Charm vs Reparo, Unlocking Spell vs Alohomora, Levitation Charm vs Wingardium Leviosa? Considering they're first-year charms, it's pretty likely that they refer to those, but—well, what do you think? (Also, Wand-Extinguishing Charm and Wand-Lighting Charm are totally Nox/Lumos, right? I mean, what else could "extinguish a wand" mean?) --Chris 21:17, 9 September 2011 (PDT)
