The trophy room is a chamber in the Hogwarts castle that displays awards and achievements that students have attained during their years at the school. It is located in the third floor of the castle and, according to Draco Malfoy, it is always kept unlocked.

Draco arranges to have a duel with Harry Potter in the trophy room in their first year; Draco does not show up, and instead informs Argus Filch that Harry would be out of bed after hours (PS9).

Ron Weasley's detention for the Flying Ford Anglia incident is to polish trophies and badges in the trophy room. He does so while suffering the effects of a backfiring Slug-vomiting Charm, and is forced to polish Tom Marvolo Riddle's Special Award for Services to the School numerous times due to his constant slug-hurling (CS7).

When Harry sees Riddle's name in the diary that was left in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, Ron immediately recognises the name, and mentions the award. The Trio goes to the trophy room to see Riddle's prize; there they find not only the aforementioned award but also on a Medal for Magical Merit and on a list of old Head Boys (CS13).
