Tom Riddle, Sr. was a Muggle who lived in Little Hangleton. Merope Gaunt fell in love with him and forced him to marry her. Together they had a child, who would grow to become Lord Voldemort (HBP10).

Tom was murdered, along with his father and mother, by his teenage son. The family's gardener, Frank Bryce, was blamed for the slaughter (GF1).

Voldemort used a bone from his father's grave in the potion that allowed him to be reborn (GF32).
