The Parting of the Ways (GF)
From UnknowableWiki
The Parting of the Ways is the thirty-sixth chapter of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Following Barty Crouch, Jr.'s revelations (GF35), Dumbledore stares down at him in disgust and uses his wand to conjure thick ropes around the Death Eater. He asks McGonagall, who looks rather nauseous, to stand guard, and orders Snape to fetch Madam Pomfrey so that she can take Alastor Moody to the hospital wing, and then bring Cornelius Fudge to question Crouch.
Dumbledore tells Harry, who is shaking due to shock and extreme leg pain, to accompany him to the Headmaster's office, where Sirius is waiting for them. Harry numbly asks Dumbledore where Cedric's parents are; the Headmaster replies that Amos and his wife are with Professor Sprout, who, as Head of Hufflepuff, best knew the boy.
They enter the office, and there meet a highly alarmed Sirius Black. Dumbledore tells him everything that Crouch confessed, and Harry, exhausted, half-listens. Fawkes leaves the perch and lands on the boy's knee.
