The Blacks
Sirius Black confirms to his grandson, Harry Potter, that the hysterical painting below depicts his own mother, Walburga Black. He adds that people have been trying to get her down for a month, but it appears that the portrait is jinxed with a Permanent Sticking Charm.
Much to Harry's surprise, the boy learns that the gloomy number twelve, Grimmauld Place is in fact the home of the Black family; since Sirius is the last remaining male Black, he owns it, and has offered it to Albus Dumbledore to use as Headquarters. "About the only useful thing I've been able to do," he notes bitterly.
The kitchen is gloomy and scarcely-lit; it has a large table and several chairs crammed inside it. Arthur, Molly and Bill Weasley are near the table, and promptly hide their plans when Harry approaches. When Tonks nearly sets fire to one of the rolls, Harry catches a glimpse of something: it appears to be the plan of a building. Bill then Vanishes the scrolls.
Sirius introduces Harry to Mundungus Fletcher, who jerks awake ("Some'n say m'name?" he mumbles, and raises his hand "I agree with Sirius..."). Padfoot informs him that the meeting is over, and Dung gets a black pipe from his inner pockets, igniting it with his wand. Dung tells Harry he owes the boy an apology; Molly berates him for smoking in the kitchen. Fletcher puts the pipe back in his pocket, leaving behind an acrid smell of burning socks.
Mrs. Weasley then announces that she needs help with dinner. Tonks offers to give her a hand, but Molly politely refuses.
