UnknowableWiki has several tags (technically called 'templates'), which can be used to mark articles with warnings such as the following:

Tags are extremely helpful; use them whenever they apply. Please note that some tags do not require immediate attention from the editors; their main purpose is to aid general organisation.

Always place tags at the bottom of the article in question, with a few lines separating them from the text. (see General Page Template for more information on placement)

The following tags are currently in use by UnknowableWiki:

• Tags for short articles
  • {{short}}: general incomplete articles.
  • {{needsdh}}: indicates that a page needs information from the seventh book.
  • {{char}}: incomplete minor character profiles.
  • {{major}}: incomplete major character profiles.
  • {{shortcreature}}: incomplete creature or animal articles.
  • {{shortfic}}: incomplete fanfiction articles.
  • {{shortfood}}: incomplete food articles.
  • {{shorthogwarts}}: incomplete Hogwarts articles.
  • {{shortobject}}: incomplete magical object articles.
  • {{shortpotion}}: incomplete potion articles.
  • {{shortquidditch}}: incomplete Quidditch articles.
  • {{shortur}}: incomplete Unknowable Room-related articles.
  • {{shortworld}}: incomplete place articles.
• Tags for empty articles
  • {{empty}}: general empty pages.
  • {{emptycreature}}: empty creature and animal articles.
  • {{fandom}}: empty fandom articles.
  • {{food}}: empty food articles.
  • {{hogwarts}}: empty Hogwarts-related articles.
  • {{ministry}}: empty Ministry-related articles.
  • {{nick}}: empty nickname articles.
  • {{object}}: empty magical object articles.
  • {{potion}}: empty potion articles.
  • {{quidditch}}: empty Quidditch articles.
  • {{spell}}: empty spell articles.
  • {{timeline}}: empty timeline articles.
  • {{world}}: empty place articles.
• Tags for articles of insufficient quality
  • {{evanesco}}: irrelevant articles that should be considered for deletion
  • {{hidden}}: Articles that need to be revised according to the hidden notes on the page.
  • {{ref}}: pages that need references.
  • {{roonil}}: Articles that need information and references.
  • {{tense}}: Articles that do not conform with the wiki's verb tense policy.
  • {{wazlib}}: articles that need revision. Please add the reason why this article is in need of revision to the tag, i.e. {{wazlib|explain reason here}}.
• Other tags
  • {{insanity}}: random, not-serious articles created by the editors with the sole purpose of mocking each other, or simply being insane.
  • {{sarcasm}}: sarcastic and/or spiteful articles.
  • {{stupefy}}: controversial subjects in the fandom that may inspire troublesome arguments.
