Arguably, the greatest ship war of all time is the war between the Harry/Hermione shippers and the Harry/Ginny shippers, although both of these factions clash often with Ron/Hermione fans. Of these, only two are officially canon pairings. One would think that the fact that the fact one ship was made canon and the other was not would case the ship wars, but the fires only burned brighter than Ginny's hair.
