Roonil Wazlib

Roonil Wazlib is the name Ron Weasley wrote on his Defense Against the Dark Arts essay about dementors instead of his own. The boy had been using one of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes' Spell-Checking Quills, and assumed the charm had worn off, causing him to misspell not only his name, but several other words (HBP21).

Apparently, Ron also scribbled this nickname inside the front cover of his copy of Advanced Potion-Making, as mentioned by Severus Snape when asking Harry Potter why Roonil Wazlib was written on what was allegedly Harry's copy of the book. It is not known if the misspelling was also due to the Spell-Checking Quill, or if Ron did it on purpose (HBP24).
