When Robert was fifteen, he started acting with the Barnes Theatre Company. After doing only a couple of plays, he obtained an agent and started doing some television shows as well as some big screen movies.
In 2003, Robert was the first person who tried out for the role of Cedric Diggory. He received it a week after meeting Mike Newell.
