Review Team Guide

Review Structure

This review structure, which has been established as a guideline for all Review Team-issued reviews, must be adhered to at all times. Please remember to maintain a direct, honest, and sincere tone while conforming to the rules of grammar, spelling, and syntax. Additionally, you want to avoid flowery gushing. Even if the fic you're reviewing is an absolute gem, you must always maintain a professional tone, which isn't easily accomplished with a lot of rampant fangirling. :) Most importantly, as you are representing a UR.org sponsored group, please always proofread your reviews before you submit them!

1. Introductory impression.
2. Positive chronological summarization. (What did the author do well from beginning to end? Did how they accomplish this change? Was there a poetic or fitting ending? why?)
3. Negative chronological summarization, if needed. (Was there something you feel could have been tied together in a more appropriate way? Was there an absence of clarity? Why weren't all of the strings tied together if they were intended to be?)
4. Praise or critique of diction, citing specific examples.
5. Praise or critique of syntax, citing specific examples.
6. Mention novelties, favorites, & hopes for future chapters/works.
7. Conclude with your personal penname, and also the phrase: [[Member, UR.org Review Team]] in order to signify that you are reviewing on behalf of the group.
