Remembrall

The Remembrall is a small glass ball the size of a large marble. Its interior is filled with white smoke that turns red if the person squeezing it has forgotten to do something.
In first year, Neville Longbottom receives a Remembrall from his grandmother. In his first Flying lesson, Draco Malfoy steals it and flies away.
Harry Potter, discovering himself to be a natural on a broomstick, flies toward Draco, who gets frightened and tosses the Remembrall. Harry catches it in the nick of time, and the save is witnessed by Professor Minerva McGonagall, who then decides to allow Harry to join the Gryffindor Quidditch Team as the youngest Seeker in the last 100 years (PS9).
Remembralls, along with Auto-Answer Quills, Detachable Cribbing Cuffs, and Self-Correcting Ink, are banned during OWLs (OP31).
