Quidditch through the Ages, written by Kennilworthy Whisp, is, alongside with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a companion book to the Harry Potter series. All profits made from its sales go towards a charity organisation called Comic Relief. The book was written by J. K. Rowling. It narrates the invention and popularisation of Quidditch, explains its basic rules, and briefly comments on the main teams currently existent.

The book was printed by J. K. Rowling's usual publishers, in association with Whizz Hard Books.

Hermione borrowed Quidditch through the Ages from the library to learn about flying in preparation for Madam Hooch's first class (PS9). Later that year, Harry borrows the book so that he can learn more about Quidditch before his first match (PS11).

The following quotes are listed in praise of Quidditch through the Ages:

  • Dumbledore states that Comic Relief has obtained over 250 million dollars since its creation, which would correspond to over 174 million pounds, or thirty-four million Galleons.
