Phoenix Feather

A phoenix feather is a feather obtained from the tail of a phoenix. It is often used as a core in wands (PS5).
Albus Dumbledore's pet phoenix, Fawkes, provided two phoenix feathers for Mr. Ollivander to use in wands he produced. Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort each purchased one of these two wands; because of their twin cores, their wands did not function properly against each other (GF36).
