Percy and Padfoot is the fourteenth chapter of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Saturday

The first week of classes (OP13) is finally coming to an end. Harry wakes up on Saturday shortly after daybreak, gets a parchment, quill and inkbottle, and goes down to the common room. He notices that several of Hermione's items designed to fool house-elves were gone, as well as the woolly hats.

Harry's mind feels blank; he doesn't know how to write everything he hoped to convey to Sirius without giving too much information away. He ends up writing:

"Dear Snuffles,"
"Hope you're OK, the first week back here's been terrible, I'm really glad it's the weekend."
"We've got a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Umbridge. She's nearly as nice as your mum. I'm writing because that thing I wrote to you about last summer happened again last night wen I was doing a detention with Umbridge.
"We're all missing our biggest friend, we hope he'll be back soon.
"Please write back quickly."
"Best,"
"Harry"

The letter demands a surprising amount of effort and concentration; Harry finishes it a long while after sunrise, and leaves the Gryffindor common room, heading towards the Owlery. On his way there, the boy meets Nearly Headless Nick, who warns him that Peeves is planning an unpleasant at the expense of the next person to pass by the bust of Paracelsus.

Harry then chooses another pathway to the Owlery; he runs into Mrs. Norris, who behaves as though she is going to report him to Filch; Harry bellows that he's allowed to go to the Owlery on Saturay.
