Peeves is a poltergeist who inhabits Hogwarts. He enjoys causing trouble, and disrespects almost everyone at the school, with the notable exceptions of Dumbledore and the Bloody Baron (PS7). He is the particular nemesis of Argus Filch, the school's caretaker, who often has to clean up after the messes Peeves makes.
