Parvati Patil, Padma Patil's identical twin sister, attends Hogwarts in the same year and House as Harry Potter (PS9). She has long dark hair and is very pretty. Her best friend is Lavender Brown who, just like Parvati herself, greatly enjoys Divination.
In her fourth year, Harry asked her as a last resort to be his date to the Yule Ball after he'd been turned down by Cho Chang. (GF22)
She was a member of Dumbledore's Army (OP18), and in her sixth year her parents almost took her and her sister out of the school, for fear of having Death Eaters attack the place (HBP11).
