PWP stands for Porn Without Plot (although it can also stand for Plot? What Plot?), a type of NC-17 fanfiction written solely for "teh pr0n". It usually involves a complete lack of standards with regards to characterisation, plot (obviously), and sometimes even abandons canon entirely.

J.K. Rowling is aware of the huge section of fandom that revolves around NC-17 fanfics, and asks that all porny fics, including PWP, be kept in archives where children can't access these stories.
