Lycanthropy

Lycanthropy is the name for the condition werewolves suffer. A person infected with it turns into a feral wolf at the full moon. It is transmitted through the bite of a transformed werewolf and can not be inherited (HBP29, BLC). There is no cure, but the Wolfsbane Potion allows the werewolves to regain mastery over their animal instincts on full moon nights (PA19).
