Knight Bus

The Knight Bus is a purple triple-decker bus. It is a wizard-only method of transportation and invisible to Muggles. Although the Knight Bus drives on normal roads, it can change locations aprubtly with a loud "Bang" (similar to human Apparition) and does not crash into other vehicles or obstacles. These objects seem to jump out of the way if the Knight Bus approaches them. Due to the driver's bad driving skills and the constant jumps from one place to another, a ride on the Knight Bus is extremely rocky.

To summon the Knight Bus, wizards simply stick out their wand hand.

Harry uses the Knight Bus twice (PA3 and OP24). At both times, the personnel consists of driver Ernie Prang and conductor Stan Shunpike. It is unknown who replaced Stan as conductor after he was sent to Azkaban (HBP11).
