Isle of Drear

The Isle of Drear is a small island off the coast of Scotland. It is populated by Quintapeds, extremely dangerous five-legged magical creatures. The island has been made unplottable in order to protect Muggles and wizards from its vicious inhabitants.

According to wizarding folklore, it was originally the home of two wizard clans, the McCliverts and the MacBoons, until a feud broke out between the two clans and the McCliverts Transfigured all the MacBoons into Quintapeds. The Qunitapeds in turn killed every McClivert, so that there are no humans left on the island today (FBAZ).
