The Hogwarts Quidditch pitch is where all Hogwarts Quidditch games and practices are held (PS11). There is a pitch with three golden hoops at each end, and seats for the students all around the field. No place in Hogwarts would be complete without a ghost, and the ghost of the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch is Edgar Clogg (QWCG).

The referee is usually Madam Hooch, the flying teacher, but Severus Snape once refereed a match in order to protect Harry Potter from Quirinus Quirrell. His biased behaviour towards Slytherin, however, combined with Harry's perpetual prejudice towards the Potions master, leads Harry to believe that Snape simply wanted the Slytherin Quidditch team to win the Quidditch Cup (PS13).
