Gideon Prewett was the brother of Fabian and Molly. He was a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Both he and Fabian were brilliant wizards: according to Rubeus Hagrid, they were among the best wizards of the age (PS4).

Alastor Moody told Harry Potter that it took five Death Eaters to kill the two brothers; "they fought like heroes" (OP9).
