The Riddle House is the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The Riddle House
The house where the Riddles once lived is located on a hill overlooking the village of [Little Hangleton]]. Once imponent and grand, it is now abandoned and in bad shape. Fifty years ago, at daybreak on a summer morning, a maid entered the drawing room to find the bodies of rich and snobbish Mr. and Mrs. Riddle and that of their son Tom. The three cold corpses were in in their dining clothes, lying on the ground with their eyes wide open.
The police were summoned, and the family's gardener Frank Bryce was arrested for the murders. Frank lived in a cottage in the Riddle House grounds.
Villagers avidly discussed the crimes at The Hanged Man, the local pub, for many years.
