The moon is the Earth's only natural satellite. Its diameter is about a quarter of that of the Earth (WP).
Full moon
The full moon refers to the night in the moon's 28-day cycle when the moon appears as a full circle in the night sky above earth. The full moon occurs once in each cycle (it is in the middle of the stages).
The full moon holds particular significance for werewolves, as they transform from men into beasts when exposed to the light of the full moon (PA17, PA18, PA20). Some potion ingredients, such as fluxweed, need to be collected during the full moon (CS10).
