Freezing Charm

The Freezing Charm is a spell presumably used to immobilise a given object or creature.

Hermione Granger casts a Freezing Charm on one of the pixies Gilderoy Lockhart had set lose during a Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson (CS6).

Horace Slughorn tells Dumbledore he uses Freezing Charms on burglar alarms in order to break into Muggles houses (HBP4).

When Harry Potter is non-verbally immobilised by Dumbledore on the top of the Astronomy Tower, he catches himself wondering how he came to be in that position, since Expelliarmus, the only spell he actually saw performed, was not a Freezing Charm (HBP27).
