Characteristics

Fleur bears distinct marks of her Veela heritage: She has waist-long silvery blonde hair, deep-blue eyes, a tall, willowy figure and the ability to charm every male person around her (GF16, HBP5). She has a distinct French accent and a throaty voice (HBP5). She is haughty and fond of derisive comments, but she can be warm and passionate. This shows when she is around those she loves: her sister Gabrielle and her fiancé Bill Weasley. She is also able to practise self-criticism (GF26).

Fleur's talent as a witch is confirmed by the Goblet of Fire, who chose her to represent her school.

Triwizard Tournament

Fleur was one of the selected Beauxbatons students to come to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament (GF16), where she was chosen to be the Beauxbatons champion (GF16). When Fleur was informed that Harry Potter had been chosen as the fourth champion, she was first incredulous, and then angry, calling him a "little boy" (GF17).

Fleur was presumably informed about the nature of the first task by her headmistress Madame Maxime (GF19). She was the second to face a dragon after Cedric Diggory and had to get past a Welsh Green. She charmed it into a trance, but the dragon started to snore and a jet of fire hit her skirt. She put it out with an Aguamenti charm. We do not know how many points she was awarded.

Fleur went to the Yule Ball with Roger Davies (GF23). She had first tried to charm Cedric Diggory and received an embarrasing invitation from Ron Weasley, who had developed a crush on her (GF22). Roger and Fleur were kissing in the rose garden on the night of the ball (GF23).

In the Second Task of the Tournament, Fleur's little sister Gabrielle was taken by Merpeople, meaning that she is the person Fleur would miss most. Fleur used a Bubble-Head Charm to breathe under water and tried to rescue her, but was held up by Grindylows. Harry Potter rescued Gabrielle, having stayed behind to make sure all the champions' loved ones were safe (GF26). Fleur was very thankful to him and Ron and started to treat Harry much kinder after the incident (GF28). She was awarded 25 points, but claimed that she deserved zero (GF26).

In the Third Task, Fleur entered the maze last, because she was in fourth place. She was Stunned by Barty Crouch, Jr., diguised as Mad-Eye Moody.

Fleur informed Harry and Ron that she would look for a job in Britain to improve her English when she said goodbye to them at the end of term (GF37).

After graduating from Beauxbatons, Fleur took a job at Gringotts to "eemprove [her] Eenglish". There she became close to Bill Weasley, who would become her fiancé after they dated for a year. In the summer of 1996, she stayed at The Burrow in order to get better acquainted with Bill's family, but Molly and Ginny weren't too fond of her; Ginny called Fleur "Phlegm". Ron was still stricken by her beauty. Fleur herself seemed not to enjoy her stay—she complained that "zere isn't much to do 'ere, unless you like cooking and chickens!" She was, however, glad to see Harry again when he came to The Burrow (HBP5).

Fleur also spent Christmas at The Burrow. She shared a room with Ginny. On Christmas Eve, the company was supposed to listen to Molly's favourite singer Celestina Warbeck on the wireless. Fleur, however, found the music dull, and talked loudly. A silent competition emerged—the louder Fleur was, the more Mrs. Weasley turned up the wireless. When it was over, Molly started to applaud. Fleur, in the meantime, began to abusing the songs, causing Arthur to loudly interrupt her and ask if anyone wanted eggnog. Later, Fleur decided to imitate Celestina singing A Cauldron Full of Hot, Strong Love—Molly seemed furious, causing everyone to hurry off to bed. Fleur, incidentally, was the only one who didn't get a sweater from Molly.

Fleur shuddered affectedly when Ginny picked a maggot out of Harry's hair at lunch. While eating, Ron offered her gravy, and in his excitement knocked it over; Bill returned the gravy to its boat with a wave of his wand. Fleur kissed him in gratitude, and told Ron that he was as clumsy as Tonks. Molly glowered at her soon-to-be daughter-in-law. Fleur then fed Bill turkey off her own fork (HBP16).

When Bill was bitten by Fenrir Greyback in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, Molly, Arthur and Fleur immediately arrive at the hospital wing. Molly started dabbing Bill's wounds and implied that Fleur might not want to marry him anymore now that his face was mutilated. Fleur immediately faced her, proclaiming that she was "good-looking enough for both of [them]", accusing Molly of secretly hoping she would not marry Bill. She then grabbed the ointment from Molly and started treating Bill's wounds herself. After a long pause, Molly quietly offered Fleur great-auntie Muriel's goblin-made tiara for the wedding ceremony. This peace-offering reconciled the two women, and they hugged, both in tears (HBP29).

Marriage

Fleur's and Bill's wedding took place on August 1, 1997. The couple married at the Burrow (DH8). They then went on to have a daughter, Victoire (DHE).
