Dugbogs are magical creatures which live in marshes in Europe and North and South America. At first sight, they resemble a piece of dead wood. They have sharp teeth and finned paws, which they use to slither through their territory. Their favourite prey are Mandrakes, to the great distress of many a Mandrake-grower who has found its crop reduced to a mutilated bloody mess. They also feet on small mammals and bite into the ankles of hikers (FBAZ).
