Nettle is a Muggle plant (WP). Dried nettles are one of the ingredients of a simple potion to cure boils (PS8).

Gertie Keddle was out picking nettles in Queerditch Marsh when she noticed that wizards were playing their "broomstick game" once more; she watched them for a while from behind a rock. Some days later, her friend Gwenog came over and they drank nettle tea together (QA3).

In Snape's riddle, nettle wine was one of the liquids used to masquerade the potion that allowed its drinker to move onwards, to the Philosopher's Stone (PS16).

Nettles grow on the ground around the sign that marks the house of Lily and James Potter in Godric's Hollow (DH17), and also around the windows of the Gaunt shack in Little Hangleton (HBP10). There are nettles in the Forbidden Forest as well; Hagrid recommends that Harry and Hermione should watch out when the three of them are on their way to see Grawp (OP30).
