Doxy drawing from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Doxys, also called Biting Fairies, are small magical creatures. They have human-like bodies with an extra pair of arms and legs that are covered in thick black hair. Their wings are similar to that of a beetle: thick, shiny and curved. Doxys have two rows of sharp teeth. Their bite is poisonous and requires an antidote.
Doxys prefer the cool climate of northern Europe and North America. They infest houses. They lay up to five hundred eggs at a time; the eggs are buried and hatch after two to three weeks (FBAZ).
