Doxycide is a black, liquid potion delivered in a spray bottle. It is used to fight Doxys, small, fairy-like magical creatures with poisonous teeth that infest houses. One good squirt of the spray will paralyse a Doxy.

Molly Weasley hands out large bottles of Doxycide to Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Fred and George so that they might help her rid the drawing room of Doxys in number twelve, Grimmauld Place. With their nose and mouth covered by a piece of cloth, they start spraying the curtains until the Doxys come flying at them. When the Doxys are immobilised by the spray they throw them into a bucket. Fred secretly pockets a paralysed Doxy to experiment with its venom for the Skiving Snackboxes (OP6).
