Character:Antonin Dolohov

Antonin Dolohov is one of the Death Eaters who killed Gideon and Fabian Prewett; he was sent to Azkaban for it (OP25). Igor Karkaroff named him when ratting out several dark wizards (GF30). Dolohov has a long, twisted face (DH1).

He is mentioned to be one of the first Death Eaters to have joined the group (HBP20), and was one of the prisoners who escaped in the massive breakout to rejoin Voldemort (OP25).

Dolohov participated in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, and almost killed Hermione Granger while duelling with her (OP35).

Second War

Dolohov was present in the meeting presided by Lord Voldemort in Malfoy Manor in the last week of July 1997; he sat beside Yaxley (DH1).

When Harry Potter said the Dark Lord's name shortly after it was Tabooed, Dolohov and Thorfinn Rowle were sent to Tottenham Court Road in order to capture them. Dolohov was Petrified; Ron recognised him (DH9) due to the old Daily Prophet wanted posters (OP25). Hermione cast Obliviate on both Death Eaters before the Trio escaped. Rowle and Dolohov were severely punished for their failure (DH9, DH23).

On September 1, 1997, several Death Eaters, among which Dolohov, watched number twelve, Grimmauld Place, expecting Harry Potter to leave the safehouse to go to Hogwarts (DH12).

Battle of Hogwarts

Dolohov took part in the Battle of Hogwarts; he confronted Remus Lupin (DH31) and murdered him (BLC). Later that evening, Dolohov duelled with Dean Thomas; when he got distracted by a fellow Death Eater, Parvati cast a Body-Bind Curse on him (DH32).

When Voldemort retreated to the Forbidden Forest, Dolohov and Yaxley were in charge of patrolling the surroundings. They failed to identify Harry Potter's approach; the teenager followed the pair in order to find the Dark Lord, who was stationed in Aragog's old lair (DH34).

Shortly before the final confrontation between Harry and Voldemort, Dolohov duelled with Flitwick and lost, falling with a scream (DH36).
