Dimitrov is a Quidditch player. He played the position of Chaser in the Bulgarian National Quidditch team during the Quidditch World Cup of 1994 (GF8).

In the Cup final, Dimitrov was the first scarlet-clad Bulgarian player to enter the stadium; he was followed by Ivanova, Zograf, Levski, Vulchanov, Volkov and Krum.

When the match began, Dimitrov broke a pass of Irish Chaser Moran's, only to lose the Quaffle to Mullet seconds later.

After the game got more violent and the tension between both teams heightened, Dimitrov purposefully flew straight at Moran, and almost knocked her off her broom. The referee Hassan Mostafa noticed the foul and awarded Ireland a penalty. Furious, the leprechauns—Irish mascots—rearranged their formation to give the opposing Veela the finger. The Bulgarian Veela lost control and started attacking the leprechauns; this forced Ministry wizards to intervene in a frustrated attempt to maintain order in the stadium.

Meanwhile, the match did not stop. Levski passed the Quaffle to Dimitrov, who lost it to Moran; soon afterwards, she scored. Levski got the Quaffle next, and once more passed it to Dimitrov. At this point, Irish Beater Quigley shot a Bludger towards Viktor Krum, and broke his nose; this did not prevent Krum from racing Aidan Lynch to the Snitch and catching it. The match ended, and Ireland won.

Dimitrov went to the Top Box with his team mates after the end of the match. The crowd applauded the team as they shook hands with the Bulgarian Minister for Magic and with Cornelius Fudge (GF8).
