Character:Demelza Robins
From UnknowableWiki
Demelza is a Gryffindor girl, few years younger than Harry Potter. She is one of the three Chasers that Harry selects for the Gryffindor Quidditch team after two-hour tryouts. Demelza is especially talented at dodging Bludgers. She, Katie and Ginny watched the Beater tryouts from the stands.
When the time came for Keeper tryouts, the three Chasers attempted to score against the potential Gryffindor Keepers. Ron Weasley later mentioned that Demelza's shot had a slight spin to it, and that it had been a difficult catch.
After dinner, Demelza delivered a message from Snape to Harry, confirming the latter's detention, regardless of Slughorn's attempts to convince Snape to let Harry attend a Slug Club fathering. Snape also informed Harry via Demelza that the detention would consist of sorting good Flobberworms from rotten ones (OP11).
When Katie got injured by a cursed necklace, Harry asked Dean Thomas to replace her in the team. Dean worked well with Demelza and Ginny, much to Harry's relief. However, Ron's performance as Keeper was still patchy. One day, during practice, he punched Demelza in the mouth when she attempted to score. She bled a lot, and zigzagged back to the ground on her broomstick. Ginny called him a prat as she fled down to look at her fellow Chaser's swollen lip. Harry used the Episkey spell to heal the wound.
Over the next few days, Ron's behaviour did not improve. His Keeping skills decreased significantly, and he yelled at his teammates so often that Demelza eventually burst out crying. Harry told them all off, and ordered her to pull herself together, saying that she had flown well that day.
Before the first match of the season, Harry and Ron ran into Ginny and Demelza in the changing room. Gryffindor won—Ron thought that Harry had put Felix Felicis in his pumpkin juice, and played very well—and there was a party in the common room, which the team attended (OP14).
In the match against Hufflepuff, Demelza scored at least one goal (OP19).
