The heart of a crocodile is used as a potion ingredient.

When Draco Malfoy starts taunting Harry Potter at every opportunity after Harry fell of his broom during a Quidditch match because Dementors entered the pitch, Ron Weasley throws a crocodile heart at his face during Potions. Severus Snape deducts fifty points from Gryffindor for this (PA10).
