Crackfic

Crackfic is a type of humorous fanfiction deliberately intended for laughs. While it verges on the ludicrous, crackfic is not intended to be a parody. Most crackfics are written by authors high on sugar/caffeine. They're riddled with inside jokes only to be understood by the author or his/her friends, and may not be all that funny to people not in on the joke.
