Cornflakes

Cornflakes are a form of breakfast cereal. They were invented and originally produced by Kellogs, and now come in a variety of flavours (including frosted and with dried fruit). The basic cornflake recipe is based on the treatment of corn (WP). A popular breakfast food in the Muggle world, cornflakes are also consumed in the wizarding world.

Hedwig eats some of Neville's cornflakes while Harry reads a letter she has brought him from Hagrid (an invitation for Harry and Ron to come to tea that evening) (PA14).
