Cockroach Clusters

Cockroach Clusters are a sweet that can be bought at Honeydukes in the section for unusual tastes (PA10).

When Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger visit the shop on the last weekend before the Christmas holidays of 1993, they want to buy for something for Harry Potter, who is not allowed to visit Hogsmeade. Harry, who has sneaked into the shop with the help of the Marauder's Map, overhears their discussion. When Ron suggests to bring Harry Cockroach Clusters, Harry reveals is presence, saying: "Definitely not." Ron almost drops the jar in surprise. He recovers quickly and stops Hermione's worries over Harry's breaking of the rules by asking Harry if he thinks Fred would eat some Cockroach Cluster if he was told they were peanuts (PA10).

Shortly before the third task of the Triwizard Tournament in 1995, Harry has a vision of Voldemort during a Divination lesson. He goes to tell Dumbledore immediately, but he does not know the password for the Headmaster's office. After trying the names of various sweets, he tries "Cockroach Cluster" and is extremely surprised when the gargoyle who guards the entrance moves aside (GF29).
