Chocolate Frogs

Chocolate Frogs are a form of sweets in the wizarding world. They are hollow and contain a Famous Wizard card. These cards make Chocolate Frogs very popular, and many children collect them (PS6).
- Harry first discovers Chocolate Frogs on his first journey aboard the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts. His first card was that of Albus Dumbledore (PS6).
- Harry Potter and Ron Weasley both collect the Famous Wizard cards found in Chocolate Frogs (PS6).
- Hermione gives Chocolate Frogs to Harry for Christmas (PS11).
- After Neville gets cursed by Malfoy and told that he isn't brave enough to be in Gryffindor, Harry gives him the last of his Chocolate Frogs from Hermione to cheer him up (PS13).
- Harry receives Chocolate Frogs from students and friends as get-well presents after his encounter with Quirrell (PS17).
- Remus Lupin gives Harry part of a Chocolate Frog to help him recover after anti-Dementor lessons (PA12).
- Hagrid gives Harry Chocolate Frogs for Christmas during the latter's fourth year (GF23).
- Ron receives Chocolate Frogs for Christmas during his fifth year (OP23). He later receives some as gifts while he is in the hospital wing after he was injured in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries (OP38).
In the Harry Potter movies, Chocolate Frogs are enchanted to act like real frogs; however, this characteristic is not mentioned anywhere in the books.
"Chocolate Frog" is one of the incorrect password guesses Harry makes when he wants to get into Dumbledore's office after he has a vision of Lord Voldemort at the end of his fourth year (GF29).
