Characteristics
Cho is a head shorter then Harry (PA13). She has long dark hair and is always described to be very pretty.
It's assumed that Cho is quite popular and friendly as she is always surrounded by a group of giggling girls (GF22).
Cho also has a kind heart, as when Harry was getting bullied for being the 'fourth champion' for the Triwizard Tournament, she did not join in on the name calling, insults, or wearing badges that supported the 'real' Hogwarts champion (GF19).
At Hogwarts
Cho first caught the attention of Harry when playing against him in Quidditch. She is able to tail Harry throughout the match, however, her diving skills are not as good as Harry, which cost her the Snitch (PA13).
During Cho's fifth year at school, she begins to date Cedric Diggory. She was asked to go to the Yule Ball with Harry, but declined as she was already going with Cedric (GF22). Cedric and her were quite close, as druing the second task, Cedric had to rescue her from the bottom of the lake (GF26). In the end, Cedric got killed by Wormtail, the death of Cedric greatly affected her (OP21).
When Cho enters her sixth year at Hogwarts, she speaks to Harry much more often. She then later joins Dumbledore's Army with her friend Marietta Edgecombe (OP16). Before the Christmas holidays, Cho and Harry share a kiss. Afterwards, Harry admits to his friends that she started to cry during the kiss. Hermione explains to him that Cho has been feeling depressed about Cedric's death and has been crying all over the place lately (OP21).
After Cho and Harry kiss, they start to 'go out'. The first date was unfortunately the last date. On Valentines day, Harry and Cho go to Hogsmeade. However, while traveling to the wizarding town Pansy and her group of friends tease Cho by bringing up the sensitve subject of Cedric. After this, Harry and Cho go to Madame Puddifoot's. Harry explains to Cho that he is going to meet Hermione at the Three Broomsticks and wondering if she would join him. At this, Cho starts to play mind games with Harry and dropping the fact that Roger Davies asked her out a week ago. She then moves on the topic of Cedric which brings on a fight between Harry and Cho. Cho storms out of the shop crying leaving Harry to go to the Three Broomsticks on his own (OP25).
The fight is later resolved when the interview of Harry appears in The Quibbler (OP26).
The relationship between Harry and Cho ends when Marietta tells Umbridge about Dumbledore's Army. Cho gets upset at Harry as he thought that Marietta got what she deserved, with the word 'SNEAK' spelled across her face in pimples. Harry claimed that Hermione's spell was not at all horrible as Cho claimed it was, but brilliant (OP27).
By the end of her sixth year, Cho starts going out with Michael Corner. They start going out as Michael was upset that Ravenclaw lost to Gryffindor - so Ginny dumped Michael and he went off with Cho (OP38).
After Hogwarts
Cho Chang returned to Hogwarts to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts when Neville Longbottom sent word to all former members of Dumbledore's Army with the use of their enchanted galleons. She offered to take Harry to the Ravenclaw common room so that he could see the bust of Rowena Ravenclaw; Ginny Weasley, however, intervened and suggested that Luna Lovegood should do so instead (DH29).
Cho eventually married a Muggle (NOR).
