Cheering Charms

Cheering Charms are spells used to improve a person's mood. They were invented by Felix Summerbee (FW).

The spells are first taught to Hogwarts students in their third-year Charms class (PA15).

During his Charms exam in his third year, Harry Potter casts it a little too strongly on Ron Weasley, who ends up laughing hysterically, and subsequently has to be isolated in a quiet room before performing the spell for his own examination (PA16).

Hermione Granger mentions that it came up on their Charms OWLs, but that she is not sure she wrote enough about it (OP31).
