Charlie is the second son of Molly and Arthur Weasley. He currently works as a dragon keeper at the Romanian dragon sanctuary.

Characteristics
Charlie, like all Weasleys, has bright red hair. He, along with Fred and George, is shorter and stockier than his other brothers (Bill, Percy and Ron); he is also muscular. His hands are large and callused, and he has a large burn mark on one of his arms from his work with dragons. He has a broad, friendly face (GF5).
Childhood and Hogwarts
Very little is known about Charlie's childhood. Molly taught him at home until he reached age eleven, when he left for Hogwarts. He also played Quidditch with his other brothers in the family's yard.
In his first year, Charlie was Sorted into Gryffindor. At some point during his seven years there, he joined the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, playing the position of Seeker; he also became captain of the team. His abilities as Seeker are legendary, only surpassed in recent Hogwarts history by Harry Potter. They say he could have gone on to play Quidditch for England. Charlie was also an excellent student in Care of Magical Creatures; Hagrid remembers him fondly, saying he was "great with animals" (PS8), and is delighted to meet Charlie on Harry's birthday (DH7).
Adult life
After his graduation from Hogwarts, Charlie got a job in Romania studying dragons (PS6) His parents once visited him over Christmas Holidays, but couldn't afford to take his siblings with them (PS12). His position proved useful when Hagrid realized he had to give up Norbert; Charlie agreed to take in the baby dragon, sending some of his friends to pick him up (PS14).
When Arthur won the Daily Prophet Grand Prize Galleon Draw in the summer after Harry and Ron's second year, Charlie went with the rest of his family to Egypt to visit his elder brother Bill, who was working there as a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts.
Charlie went with his family, Harry, and Hermione to the final match of the 1994 Quidditch World Cup (GF6). When the Death Eaters jinxed the Muggles that were in charge of the camp, Charlie went with his father, Bill and Percy to help the Ministry of Magic wizards (GF9). After escorting his brothers to the Hogwarts Express, Charlie returned to Romania (GF11).
For the first task of the Triwizard Tournament, which employed dragons, Charlie, along with approximately thirty other dragon keepers, went to Hogwarts to help take care of them. Hagrid took Harry (under the Invisibility Cloak) and Madam Maxime to see the animals and talked to Charlie, who discussed the first task with the half-giant, as well as Molly Weasley's worry over Harry's participation in the tournament (GF20). He was impressed by Harry's handling of the Hungarian Horntail during the task .
After Voldemort's rebirth, Charlie became a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Unlike Bill, who returned from Egypt, he stayed in Romania at Dumbledore's request, trying to recruit foreign wizards to the cause (OP5). He did not return to England when Arthur Weasley was bitten by Nagini (OP22), nor did he visit the family the following Christmas (HBP15).
He comes to Bill's wedding to Fleur and is their best man (DH6).
Charlie never married (YITL).
