Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington is the Gryffindor ghost (PS7). During his time at school, he was a Gryffindor (JKRW).
Life
Sir Nicholas was a wizard who lived in the British royal court. After presumably being found to have magical powers, he had his wand confiscated and was locked in a dungeon. Being wandless rendered him incapable of escaping (BB1). He was executed with a blunt axe, which hit his neck forty-five times without completely severing his head from his body (CS8).
