Rose Weasley is the oldest daughter of Ron and Hermione. According to Ron, she inherited Hermione's intelligence. She started Hogwarts on September 1, 2017. Rose's parents took her to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters by car that day. She was already wearing her Hogwarts robes when the family met Harry and Ginny Potter, whose son Albus Severus was about to start school as well.
When Lily and Hugo—respectively, Albus and Rose's younger siblings—started discussing which House they would be Sorted to when it was their turn to go to school, Ron joked that the two couples would disinherit Lily and Hugo if they were not Sorted to Gryffindor. This sobered up Rose and Albus.
When the two families notice Draco and Scorpius Malfoy nearby, Ron recommended that Rose should beat him in every possible test. Hermione reprimanded him for setting the children against each other before the beginning of their first school year; Ron apologised, but soon added that Rose should be careful not to get overly friendly with Scorpius either; Arthur Weasley would never forgive her if she married a pure-blood.
After Albus and Rose boarded the train, they noticed that several people were staring at Harry. Ron reassured them that everyone was looking at him, for he was extremely famous (DHE).
