Mrs. Diggory is the mother of Cedric Diggory and the wife of Amos Diggory. She and her husband went to Hogwarts to watch the third task of the Triwizard Tournament.

When the Diggorys met the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione just before the task began, Amos taunted Harry because Cedric had caught up with him in number of points; Cedric explained that Amos begrudged Harry because Rita Skeeter's article about the Tournament had not mentioned Cedric. Molly defended Harry, but before Amos could reply Mrs. Diggory put a hand on his arm, causing him to shrug and walk away (GF31).

When Cedric's ghost returned in the Priori Incantatem effect, he asked Harry to bring his corpse back to his parents (GF34). Harry did so; the Diggorys were in the stands surrounding the third task maze, and at Fudge's request Dumbledore had to tell them about Cedric's death. This gave Professor Moody the chance to steal Harry away to interrogate him (GF35).

Dumbledore gave Pomona Sprout the task of talking to the Diggorys, for she, as Head of Hufflepuff, had known Cedric best. Meanwhile, he questioned Crouch, Jr. and Harry (GF36) about the events leading to Voldemort's return earlier that evening (GF32). After leaving Harry in the hospital wing, Dumbledore returned to talk to Mr. and Mrs. Diggory (GF36).

The following morning, Harry met the Diggorys, who thanked him for bringing back Cedric's body. Amos was still crying, but Mrs. Diggory was too sorrowful to shed tears. Harry told them how Cedric had died, and Mrs. Diggory was relieved to find that her son had not suffered. Harry tried to give her his Triwizard winnings—one thousand Galleons—but she did not accept, and insisted that Harry should keep it (GF37).
