Character:Mr. Prentice

Mr. Prentice is a Muggle who lives in Surrey. In the summer of 1995, Harry Potter and Arabella Figg saw him down the street as they made their way back to number four, Privet Drive after a Dementor attack. Figg was startled at first, but dismissed the figure when she recognised it as Mr. Prentice, implying that he was simply a harmless Muggle (OP2).

When fandom speculation grew about the identity of Mark Evans, another Muggle mentioned in the same book, Rowling stated on her website, "He's nobody in the sense that Mr. Prentice, Madam Marsh, and Gordon-Dudley's-gang-member are nobodies..." (JKRW)
