Character:Monsieur Delacour
From UnknowableWiki
Monsieur Delacour is Fleur Weasley and Gabrielle Delacour's father (DH7). His wife, Apolline, is half-Veela (GF18). M. Delacour is a good-natured short, plump man who wears a short, pointed black beard.
On July 30, 1997, the couple arrived at The Burrow via Portkey, and stayed until Fleur and Bill's wedding. In preparation for their arrival, Molly asked Hermione to change the sheets in the bed they were to occupy—Molly and Arthur's.
Arthur met the Delacours on a hill nearby upon their arrival, and guided them to the house. Fleur was delighted to see her parents. M. Delacour kissed Molly twice on each cheek and held her hand, thanking her for all the trouble she had gone through. He presented Apolline to Mrs. Weasley, and eleven-year-old Gabrielle.
Over the next two days, the Delacours proved to be helpful guests. Monsieur Delacour was pleased with the décor, and pronounced everything to be charmant (DH6).
On Harry's birthday, the couple gave him chocolates. When Monsier Delacour saw the enchanted razor Bill and Fleur had bought for Harry, he praised the item, but mentioned that Harry had to tell it clearly what to do, lest he should find himself with less hair than he wished. Later that day, Harry found himself grinning at Ginny and, remembering that he had promised to Ron not to lead her on, he focused on chatting with Monsieur Delacour (DH7).
Monsieur Delacour led Fleur to aisle at her wedding, looking radiant and extremely glad (DH8).
