Millicent Bagnold was the Minister for Magic from 1980 to 1990 (W3); a time span that includes the last years of the First War and the recovery of wizarding Britain after Voldemort's fall on Hallowe'en 1981 (OP5). The turbulent night of Voldemort's fall with its massive violations of the Statute of Secrecy constitutes the major upheaval that occured during her time in office (PS1, W3).
