Character:Mary Macdonald

Mary Macdonald is a Gryffindor who studied with Lily Evans; they were presumably in the same year.

Mulciber tried to cast a dark spell on Mary in their fifth year, simply to amuse himself. Lily later complained about the occurrence to Severus Snape, criticising his friend's cruel sense of humour.

After the lake incident, Snape proclaimed that he would stay by the Fat Lady—and sleep there, if necessary—until Lily came down from Gryffindor Tower and talked to him. Mary passed the message on to Lily, who complied and met him (DH33).
